ATTEMPTED ABDUCTION – Saturday April 6 2013

– A woman is in custody after reports she tried to abduct a child from the preschooler’s mother in a busy supermarket.
Police were questioning a 38-year-old Narre Warren South woman last night after the chilling incident at Safeway on Thompsons Road, Cranbourne.
Detectives are also investigating whether the same woman was responsible for a similar incident in Cranbourne earlier this year.
In the latest case, a 25-year-old mother of three was shopping about 5pm on Thursday when she noticed a stranger speaking to her children.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Belle Nolan said the woman picked up the youngest child, a four-year-old. When challenged, she put the child down – Erin Marie
