DAMAGES FOR OFFICER – Saturday April 13 2013

– A former policewoman who became mentally ill and picked at her hands until they bled after being bullied has been awarded $250,000 by Victoria’s highest court.
The harassment began when Karen Aden Willett was appointed a detective at the South Melbourne Criminal Investigation Unit in 2004, with rumours circulating that she had slept with her boss to get the job.
When she told her supervisor she was pregnant, he asked her to leave so he wouldn’t be stuck with her.
