POLICE INVESTIGATE AFTER WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN RESERVOIR BACKYARD – Wednesday July 17 2013

– A mother of two has been found dead in the backyard of a house in Reservoir. The woman, Teresa Mancuso, was aged in her 40s and had moved in with her mother since her father died about two years ago, a family friend said. Ms Mancuso had two adult sons and had been separated from her husband for about 15 years, the friend said. She was found dead at the Massey Avenue home about 9:45pm on Monday. A neighbour called police after hearing noises coming from the house. Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Snare would not describe Ms Mancuso’s injuries, nor confirm whether there were any signs of violence at the scene. He also would not say whether police had a suspect. “It’s sufficient to say that we’re treating the scene as suspicious.”
Police took plaster-casts of shoe prints lifted from a front garden bed.
Ms Mancuso was said to have been a hairdresser who sometimes worked at a salon owned by her brother Pasquale in North Melbourne – Niño Bucci
