– The survivor of a fiery crash that killed two people has been charged by police after leaving hospital yesterday.
The 48-year-old was injured in the smash on the Mornington Peninsula Freeway in Dromana on Monday and was flown to the Alfred Hospital.
The man was charged by Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives with two counts of culpable driving.
Police allege the man was driving his black Holden Crewman ute close behind a blue Ford when the cars collided near the Arthur’s Seat exit about 1pm.
