HONOLULU HOMICIDE DETECTIVES INVESTIGATE SALT LAKE MURDER

December 9 2014

– Honolulu police arrested a 41-year-old man as homicide detectives investigated the apparent beating death of a 33-year-old man and the assault of a 38-year-old woman in Salt Lake Tuesday.

Homicide detective Peter Boyle said a weapon was recovered at a Salt Lake home, but declined to say what it was. Both the dead man and woman had “blunt force injuries,” Boyle said.

Boyle said that Salt Lake patrol officers responded to a report of an assault at a Salt Lake home at 5:06 a.m. and found the 33-year-old man lying in the middle of Salt Lake Boulevard.

Paramedics took the 33-year-old man in “extremely critical” condition with facial injuries to the hospital, where he later died. The 38-year-old woman went to the hospital in serious condition with head injuries.

Boyle said the incident started with an argument in the Salt Lake home and ended in the roadway.

He said the suspect and victims were not related, but he didn’t know the relationship of the three, except that one of them lives in the Salt Lake house.

Police are also interviewing two-teenaged girls who also live in the home.

Honolulu police closed Salt Lake Boulevard between Likini Place and Wanaka Street as they conducted a murder investigation and reopened the road at about 9 a.m.

Traffic investigators and the department’s helicopter also responded to the scene. Police plan to take aerial photographs of the crime scene, Boyle said.

Deep connections are the most important aspect of my existence. I don’t care if people don’t know what they want. I love books. I’m cynical of love stories, although I’m romantic. I adore gardens. I like women who challenge me. I love the rain as an excuse to stay inside and dream. I'm furiously impatient. If I ask you a question best to tell me the truth as I'm likely to already know the answer. I'm a carnivore. I continuously underestimate the magic of fresh flowers in my home. I love warm rain in the summer. My mood elevates to epic proportions when the sun shines. Tell me not to do something and I'll do it twice and take photos. Running is my antidepressant. There are cures and solutions for many evils, but no remedy for the worst of them all - the apathy of human beings. The sound of the Italian language being spoken is as good as my favourite music. I hate corrupt cops. I relentlessly and passionately pursue anybody and anything that sets my soul on fire. I'm a dog lover, and all my dogs are considered family members. I have an obsession with photography. I have some close friends who are household names, but shall always remain anonymous. I’m crazy but not lazy. Losing a soulmate has hurt me badly.
