Police Investigate Clyde North Aggravated Burglary

September 24th, 2016

Southern Metro Region Crime Team detectives are investigating following an aggravated burglary in Clyde North earlier this week.

Investigators have been told a 27-year-old woman was woken in her Ryndhurst Street home about 1:30am on Wednesday, September 21st by the sound of car engines.

When she went outside to investigate, she saw the family’s red BMW sedan and black 2012 VW Amarok utility being reversed out of their driveway.

Investigators believe the keys to both vehicles were stolen from inside the home while the three occupants were sleeping.

Investigators have also been told that three other vehicles, one possibly a silver Holden utility similar to a VE model, were seen speeding away from the home after the burglary.

Police have released images of the Amorok ute in the hope that someone may recognise its distinctive tray and provide information on its whereabouts.

The red BMW was located about 11:3o am on Thursday, September 22nd on Booth Crescent, Dandenong North.
